A proud PGA member with 30 years of experience in the golf industry. David spent the past 20 years as high performance lead for Irish Ladies Golf and achieved great success in this role. David has also had the honour of representing The CPG and The R&A on various golf missions and speaking engagements in countries all over the world, advising on the development of high performance and competitive programs.

In this workshop, the needs of both parties, as well as the roles and responsibilities are discussed leaving participants with a clear road map to navigate this period effectively.

A large part of this workshop is the advance preparation in understanding the current space occupied, the culture that surrounds the company/organisation and challenges that impinge employers and employees from occupying a truly satisfying work experience.
Paul is clinical lead for the HSE Primary Care Psychology Service in Cavan, Ireland , and has worked as a psychologist with children, adults & families for over 25 years. Paul is Lead Consultant in High Performance Sport Clinical Psychology at Sport Ireland Institute (SII) and has delivered specialist mental health training internationally as a Consultant Tutor with the Association for Psychological Therapies (APT) for 17 years. He is also involved in training psychologists at Trinity College Dublin, developed the Mind Yourself Programme & has written the books On the Ball (2014) & The Family Gam (2018), along with several peer reviewed articles. Paul has a particular interest in making psychological interventions more widely available & accessible.
“The Athletic Development of the Female Golfer” with Sharon Morris
Sharon and David use over 20 years of practical and academic experience to take delegates through the development of the Female Golfer. The varying stages of growth and development and how they are manifested from a performance perspective offer attendees a unique view on the physical development of a female golfer and the challenges and opportunities that lie in this space.
Qualified from Trinity College Dublin with BSc Physiotherapy (Hons) in 1995, Sharon completed her MSc in Applied Biomechanics at Strathclyde University, Glasgow in 2007. Sharon has a wide range of experience having worked in the Irish, English and Australian health services both in a private and public capacity. She has worked as a private practitioner in Galway City Physiotherapy since 2000 and runs the clinic managing a staff of ten. Sharon has a keen interest in the following areas: management of complex pain and injury, exercise prescription and manual therapy, the application of biomechanics specialism into the field of chronic overuse injury, in particular lower limb overuse injury and foot pain, gait and video analysis for functional orthotic and exercise prescription, and golf swing modification. Sharon currently manages a varied caseload of professional and amateur athletes and golfers. Sharon has lectured on the MSc in Sports Medicine in NUIG and UCC. She also currently lectures post graduate physiotherapists, podiatrists and other health professionals in the field of lower limb biomechanical assessment and management on the MSc in Sports Physiotherapy in UCD and the MSc in Radiology at NUIG. Sharon is lead physiotherapist to the ILGU (Irish Ladies Golf Union) and the Galway Camogie Team. She has worked as a physiotherapist with the IRFU, GAA and carded athletes at national, provincial and county levels. Sharon has been approved as a high performance physiotherapist by Sports Institute Ireland.

Donal and David combine to present a memorable day of learning for PGA professionals and federations. Focussing on the collection of data and then the careful monitoring and usage of this data, the two speakers provide an interactive day which deals with the performance environment for elite golfers. Donal Scott is a PGA Professional and High Performance coach based in Dublin, Ireland. A strong passion for coaching at every level of the game and over ten years of experience makes him one of Ireland's foremost golf coaches. A passionate learner himself, he is fascinated with helping others learn and unlocking the potential of every player he works with. Encouraging each player to evolve and embrace the uniqueness of their own talent and journey are cornerstones of Donal's coaching philosophy. He is currently the Irish Women's Team national coach and a member of the Paddy Harrington Scholarship coaching team at Maynooth University. Having worked with professionals on the European tour, Challenge tour, LPGA and LET, he continues to work with players across the major tours as well as elite level amateurs at home and abroad. His areas of expertise include putting performance, training design and performance coaching.
